ARTICLE 1. UNIFORM OFFENSE CODE

11-101. Uniform public offense code incorporated.

There is hereby incorporated by reference for the purpose of regulating public offenses within the corporate limits of the City of Stafford, Kansas, that certain code knows as the “Uniform Public Offense Code” Edition 2022, prepared and published in book form by the League of Kansas Municipalities, Topeka, Kansas. No fewer than three copies of said Uniform Public Offense Code shall be marked or stamped “Official Copy as Adopted by Ordinance No. 1072”, and to which shall be attached a copy of said ordinance, and filed with the city clerk to be open to inspection and available to the public at all reasonable hours.

11-102. Offenses not prosecuted in municipal court.

The following offense shall not be prosecuted in Municipal Court but can still be prosecuted in the District Court of Stafford County, Kansas.

(a) Section 3.1.1 Domestic Battery which requires mandatory jail time.

(b) Section 6.16 Giving of a worthless check.
