A CHARTER ORDINANCE EXEMPTING THE CITY OF STAFFORD, KANSAS, FROM THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 15-209 WHICH REGULATES RESIDENCY OF CERTAIN APPOINTIVE OFFICES.

WHEREAS, K.S.A. 15-209 regulates residency requirement for certain appointive offices and whereas the City desires to exempt itself from the requirements.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF STAFFORD, KANSAS;

Section 1: The City of Stafford, Kansas, by virtue of the powers vested in Article 12, Section 5, of the Constitution of the State of Kansas, hereby elects to exempt itself and hereby makes inapplicable to K.S.A. 15-209 which applies to the City of Stafford, Kansas, but does not apply uniformly to all Kansas cities.
